Sometimes the question isn't whether you need support — it's what kind of support fits where you are right now.

Both therapy and coaching can create meaningful, lasting change. The difference lies in scope, focus, and structure.

Therapy vs. Coaching: Understanding the Difference

Therapy is the right fit when you're working through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or relationship patterns that need deeper clinical support. It's also where licensing, insurance, and state regulations apply — which means my therapy services are available only to clients in California and Oregon.

Coaching operates outside the clinical framework. It's designed for people who are not in crisis, but feel stuck, and ready to focus on specific goals — whether that's navigating a career transition, quieting the inner critic, building stronger relationships, or stepping into the next version of themselves. And because coaching isn't bound by state licensure, my online coaching is available to anyone, anywhere.

Coaching may be a great fit if you:

  • Feel mentally overwhelmed or stuck despite outward success

  • Struggle with perfectionism, self-doubt, or cultural identity

  • Are navigating a life transition, career shift, or identity change

  • Want to build healthier relationships and clearer boundaries

  • Are located outside of California or Oregon

What Makes This Work Different

My coaching draws on the same warmth, mindfulness, and psychological depth that inform my therapy practice. With over 15 years of clinical experience, a background in high-performance environments, and a deep attunement to bicultural and identity-related pressures, this work goes well beyond surface-level goal-setting.
Sessions are collaborative, grounded, and insight-driven — helping you understand your internal patterns and move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
